Your thoughts… Do you ever use? Or is it a waste of an elite spot?

[skill]Simple thievery[/skill]
PVE a Waste PVP I brought it last night in RA and only found it worked against Assassins since you have a good chance of breaking there chain. Anything else seems to be a waste of an elite
[skill]Tease[/skill]
PVE a Waste PVP could is nasty if you’re able to run up from behind then Run Away!!!!!!!!! (Only thing you can hope for is they don’t know the skill tag and have to read it before going after you) I used it as well in RA and pissed off some dervish big time
Anyway do you have any more thoughts on uses for these? Or have any other skills that are often overlooked and never used.

Not useful, if it where to be usable on monster skills then it would have a great function against Tiamat(who has only 1 hex spell that is extremely uber, normally [skill=text]Distracting Shot[/skill] is used to lock it)
But as it is [skill=text]Signet of Humility[/skill] is a better use for that skill slot.

I've never been a fan of the skill stealing skills to be honest. I would rather put something more useful in there, a more consistant shutdown. The skill probably shouldn even be elite so I wouldn bother much with it ^^
For a laugh we ran a Tease/Binding Chains build with a lot of degen. Nice gimmicky build for TA.

Simple Thievery has potential use for shutting down and making use of skills like GoLE in PvP, but it's not worth the elite slot.

Agreed.
For RA, for what that matters... Simple Thievery has a lot of potential, imo.
Thief a monk, and you'll steal his Glyph. Chances are, he's bad and will shortly fail without his energy crutch.
Thief a 'sin, and you'll likely demolish his chain - who cares if you can't use Black Mantis Thrust, you just stopped him from doing anything at all.
And, of course, Thieving any other caster will probably land you a Res Sig, which can really turn the tide of battle.
That said, it doesn't matter... RA, right? lolz

The problem is, monks worth shutting down in RA won't be using Glyph, meaning your elite simply shuts down sins - for which I'd prefer Glyph of Energy/Gale/Blackout.
The only real uses are shutting down res sigs as you said, or hitting single non-spell skills that need to be shutdown - namely Glyph of Lesser Energy and Signet of Humility, both of which can be dshotted, and neither of which are used at the moment, so it's a non issue.

The only place that I think must be very sweet for Simple Thievery is vs. Coventina.
Since the only skill she uses (outside of Spectral that is) is CoP - it might be sweet.
The problem with all the thievery skills is simple though - in PvE they work much better when your domination is low! I mean - how moronic is it that a skill actually gets WORSE the more you pump up it's attribute!

I remember capping and experimenting with tease, I never had much success with it. Its too bad because it would be a nice skill to use since my mesmer gets hit on frequently.

The only way I got it to work was to wait for agro and select a target that is focused on a target. Run up from behind then run away and select a new target. Melee targets seem the best since Ranged attacks will null the hex.
